You may see these little Doghouse Banks in businesses around La Porte. They are the efforts of the Volunteers to raise some additional funds for the La Porte Animal Shelter. 100% of the money donated goes to provide vaccinations for all cats & dogs who come through the shelter... making life better for them and safer for the community.

When you see these donation spots, please give... and thank the merchants who provide the space for them.

La Porte Citizens Police Academy
Alumni Association

This great group of people loves their community! Being involved in the life of La Porte is a big deal for these concerned citizens... whether it's riding along on a shift with their heroes (the La Porte Police officers), helping direct traffic at the annual city-wide Triathlon, or raising funds for the La Porte Animal Shelter, they are working to make their hometown a better place for everyone.

In addition to neighborhood get-togethers all around the city, a public event was held at the La Porte Police Department. Involved  were EMS, Fire Dept., SWATT, 911. There was a Moon Walk, Rock Wall, tours of the new Police Department building, and lots more.

 

Citizens Police Academy
